Home Tour: Jill Stuart’s New York Penthouse

Jill Stuart

Not surprisingly, fashion designer Jill Stuart‘s downtown New York penthouse is impressive. Located inside the Urban Glass House (the final project of the legendary architect Philip Johnson), her home has several floor to ceiling windows that drench the modern space with light and allow for awe-inspiring views of the city including one of the Statue of Liberty. Unlike the bustling character of the outside city, the interior of the home has a sense of peace and serenity. The overall palette is predominantly made up of tranquil neutrals made interesting with a few selective pops of blushing color.

The 2nd and 3rd pic down from the top — that massive honey-hues leather ottoman… OMG! Its amazing. That is my fav color leather. I am drooling over the Prada cervo hobo bag right now that has that leather…

The flowers are so much the making of this place – beautifully arranged in perfect colours to tone and complement without the bind of permanance. And if ever I were to want a modern kitchen, that would be the one.

I don't usually like over-designed homes, but I could totally live in her home!
