Two Instead of One

Two small tables are a great alternative to having the usual one large coffee table in the living room. Their size (and weight) makes them portable and versatile, which is perfect for accommodating the functions of a multi-use space.

Thank you for this post! I just presented this idea to a client yesterday and now I have some examples to show her!! xoxo

I’ve considered this option many times! And even tho I’m a symmetrical freak, I’m kinda digging the two different Moroccan tray tables in Rashida Jones’ apt.

One problem I’ve found with this look: not very kid-friendly. They are often too light and can be easily pushed over when a kid is trying to lean. climb, pull on, you name it! But if I had to choose, I love the Nate Berkus ones — pretty silhouette, sophisticated materials.

I’ve actually been thinking about this idea- love the way it looks and how it leaves open more floor space- it’s so nice and airy!

I love this look! There’s something about adding that extra piece to a sitting area that makes it feel…maybe more polished? Well-designed? Perhaps it’s because it’s so much more common to see people just plop a single coffee table down, that having two smaller tables (and more styling options!) looks SO much more unique.

Greate idea!! Why didn´t I think of this? It´s flexible and can be used in more ways than one big table. Thanks!! :)
