Irene’s Colorful Abode

My friend Irene‘s beautiful SoCal home was featured on Apartment Therapy this week! If you haven’t seen the tour yet, you’re gonna love it. I’ve had the pleasure of stepping foot inside her home and it really is as fun and welcoming as the photos show (possibly even more so!).  This girl sure knows how to effectively bring together multiple colors, textures and patterns. She’s one talented lady!

View the full tour here and come back here tomorrow for a How I Organize post featuring Irene!

Still Loving: Nailhead Detailing

For a couple of years now, spaces with pieces that have beautiful nail head detailing, whether it’s on a chair, an ottoman, a bulletin board, nightstand, or a headboard, have tended to catch my attention.  There’s something so elegant about that type of detail.  A few lovely spaces I’ve gravitated towards:

Currently on my desk

I love having fresh flowers. Especially on days when I’m in front of the computer for long hours, it’s nice to look away from the screen and glance at something beautiful and mood lifting :) These are the ones my hubby got for me over the weekend and are currently on my desk:
