A Beautifully Organized Creative Workspace
In love with this creative workspace from the home of Darcy Miller, illustrator and editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings. It’s the chicest craft room I ever did see! It’s not only fully stocked with all the supplies you could ever need for any creative project, but it’s also beautifully organized. Everything has a home designated based on frequency of use, so things are accessible and easy to find. With the exception of the art supplies which bring a cheerful rainbow array of color to the space, most everything (the walls, floor, ceiling, furniture, and storage containers) is black, white, and gray. This creates a uniform look and keeps the room from feeling chaotic or overwhelming.

Hanging Pot Rack in a Small Kitchen
Last week I did a post on hanging pot racks, which featured mostly large kitchens. This kitchen below shows how a hanging pot rack can be integrated into smaller quarters:

It works here because there’s free wall space, as in the pots aren’t blocking any cabinet doors. They do look quite high up there though, so I’m guessing the homeowner keeps a step stool handy

Organized Drawers – Clear Dividers

When it comes to organizing drawers, dividers are key for keeping like items together and neatly contained {so they don’t spill over}. My favorite are clear organizer sets, like this one, this one, and this one, that can be arranged whichever way fit best in the drawer. Since they’re transparent, they’re also great for showing off a pretty drawer liner.

uten.silo organizer
Have seen the iconic uten.silo organizer (first created in 1969!) in various spaces and always think it looks cool and practical. All the little pockets are so great for organizing and making easily accessible all the small items that might not otherwise have a home.

It’s a bit pricey though. I wonder how difficult it’d be to create an inspired DIY version…hmmm…

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week
Love the idea of using a pegboard to organize pots, pans and other kitchen items. This is great for people who have wall space but a lack of cabinetry. Not only is it functional, but it looks great too. The hanging items add a graphic element and become part of the decor. Form and function.

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week

This beautifully organized vanity has a flip top that reveals a mirrored underside and built in compartments that neatly house makeup. Clear acrylic trays atop the vanity keep essentials in order.

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week
This week’s beautifully organized space is from Caroline‘s tiny 475 sqft studio apartment. I love how she maximized storage potential by using over the door shoe racks to organize her collection of shoes. Don’t they look so pretty arranged by color?
You can find shoe racks like the ones Caroline used here.

Loving these beautifully organized kitchen shelves from the home of Alexx and Paul featured in issue 7 of Covet Garden. Particularly drawn to the repurposed similarly sized glass jars which hold spices idenitifed with handwritten labels. So perfectly imperfect -charming and homey
