Organizing Clips
Fun little clips for stylishly sorting through paperwork and clearly identifying the priority and importance of each file or document:

Jewelry Box as Office Supplies Organizer
I love when people think creatively and use things for something other than their intended purpose. In an article for Traditional Home, Chris Plantan suggested using a jewelry box to organize small office items like paper clips, pushpins, pens, tape, notepads, etc. Looks pretty enough to have out on a desktop for easy access. Great idea! -wouldn’t you agree?
In case you’re wondering, the box shown is the McKenna from Pottery Barn (unfortunately looks like they no longer offer it in pink).

Martha Stewart for Staples
As soon as I heard about this from my friend Maggie, I got so excited (yes I’m an organizing geek!). I went this weekend to Staples to check it out in person and I loved what I saw – beautiful boxes, binders, notebooks, desktop accessories, dividers, labels, files:

1- stackable organizers, 2-box, 3-binders, 4- journal, 5-dividers, 6-accordion file, 7- binder accessories, 8- sheet protectors, 9- journal, 10- red bands, 11-kraft labels, 12-file folder labels, 13-color coding labels, 14-kitchen labels, 15- dry erase decal, 16- pocket
Recipe Binder
Hi all! Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Wanted to share with you the lovely little binders pictured above, I came across recently. They’re made of hard wearing cloth and decorated with folio embossed kitchen symbols on the spine and on the front. So perfect for beautifully organizing recipe tearsheets and online printouts. Bummer they don’t sell ‘em in the States (the company Bookbinders Design is based out of Stockholm).
p.s. In case you missed it…more stylish binders and a pretty pink recipe box.

Godmorgon Makeup Organizer
Loving the this little box from Ikea. So perfect for organizing a makeup drawer. It compartmentalizes and gives a home to mascara, lipstick, nailpolish, etc. so they’re accessible and easy to find. Here it is in action:

a graphic statement with storage boxes
Stylist Rebecca Omweg took plain, inexpensive cardboard bankers boxes and created not just a great storage solution for her space, but also a graphic statement. I love that the uniformity creates a clean and streamlined look. The boxes are placed atop wall mounted shelves and labeled with stenciled numbers. A master list details what’s inside each one so things are accessible and easy to find.
