For example, say you have a painting with orange and navy and you want pillows that tie in with that piece, then under the Color Filter, you can select Orange and Dark Blue.
Or maybe your color scheme is green and blue and you don't like large patterns. You can select Solids and Small Scale under the Pattern Scale Filter, plus Green and Blue under the Color Filter.
The filters are available on our collection pages. On a desktop, they will be on the left side and look like this:
On a mobile device, there will be a button on the top left that will open up the menu.
We hope you find this feature helpful and easy to use. Once you've narrowed down the options with the filters, you can narrow down even further by ordering swatches so you can see the fabric colors and textures in person.
]]>*Exception: if your sofa has a high back, stick with the smallest optimal pillow size and don't go larger than 24x24.
EXAMPLE
The inside seat height of the yellow sofa above is 14 inches.
If we add 3 to 14, this gives us 17.
If we add 7 to 14, this gives us 21.
So, our optimal pillow size range is 17" to 21" squares.
The spotted pillows shown are size 21x21 and the floral pillows shown are size 20x20.

For a unique look, try two long rectangular pillows instead of the usual squares. In this living room above, Annie Diamond opted for two of our 14x30 Latte Velvet pillows for her sofa. All our solid velvets, as well as most of our Regular Collection pillows, can be custom made in this or any rectangular size. Contact us with any questions!

Get a patterned pillow fabric. Marks can be camouflaged when they invariably appear, as they do.
Get your pillow fabric on both sides instead of having a solid-backed option. Then should something irreparable happen, you can flip!
Kid-friendly materials, could be performance, like Crypton or Sunbrella, or fabrics with synthetic fibers like polyester. Another great option is high quality velvets with a soil-resistant finish and a high durability rating.
If you have linen blend fabrics, spray covers with ScotchGuard to help liquids bead up and protect against stains.
Don't be afraid to invest in some beautiful pillow covers because you're teaching your kids to live with beautiful things, it will add joy to your life every time you see them, and if mom's happy, everyone's happy.

Use a beautiful glass and add a few mint leaves or slices of fruit to your water. I find that when I do this it makes me want to drink more water versus feeling like it's a chore.
In this era of work-from-home, it can be easy to stay indoors all day long. Incorporate some fresh air and sunshine within your existing routine by doing little things like drinking your morning coffee on the porch, taking a short walk around the block or sitting in your backyard when chatting on the phone with friends and family.
One of the many things I love about podcasts and audiobooks is that I can listen to them while driving or doing mundane chores. Here are few great ones to check out that will leave you feeling good: Oprah's Super Soul, Radical Compassion, The School of Self Image
Create a sense of comfort and well-being by setting up your surroundings in a way that engages all your senses. Here are a few ideas:
Whether that's attending the yoga class that you put on your calendar, finishing up the decorating project you started last year, or actually eating all the beautiful veggies you brought home from the farmer's market, honor your own plans and desires by showing up for what you said you'd do. Have your own back.

Sectional sofas can sometimes be tricky to style. Based on our experience though, we've found that in most cases, three layers of pillows usually works really well.
Below is a look at a sectional that we recently helped transform and our tips to help you choose the best options for your own sofa.
Start with a first layer of one pillow on each corner.
Fabric: Choose either a solid or a small scale print. For this sofa we went with the Les Touches Orange.
Size: Measure the inside seat height of your sofa and add 3 to 7 inches to that to get your optimal pillow size*. The inside seat height of this particular sofa is 14 inches, so the optimal pillow size is 17x17 to 21x21. We opted for the larger 21x21 size for a more luxurious look.
*Exception: if your sofa has a high back (20" or higher), don't go larger than 24x24 for your largest pillow cover size.
For the next layer, add another pillow on each corner.
Fabric: Choose a medium or large scale pattern. For this sofa we went with the two variations of the Hot House Spark - the one with the blue flower for the left and right corners of the sofa and the one with the orange flower for the middle corner.
Size: Go for pillows that are 1 to 3 inches smaller than the pillows in Layer 1. Here we went with 20x20 pillows (1 inch smaller).
To finish it off, add a lumbar on the longest side of the sectional. If both sides are a similar length, place it in the middle corner.
Fabric: Choose a fabric that pulls out one of the colors in the other pillows and/or coordinates with other accessories in the room. Here we went with the Peacock Velvet, which pulls out some of the blue in the Hot House Spark and also coordinates with a lamp in a nearby side table.
Size: Opt for a pillow that's 10 to 14 inches tall and a similar width as the other pillows. We went with size 11x19.
That's it!

]]>To achieve a bedroom that's both chic and serene, New Yorker Erika Fox kept it simple. She used three of our Luxe Cloud Pearl pillows in size 22x22 on her king size bed, then layered two 13x19 Solid with Grosgrain Ribbon Border lumbars in front.
We love how the white pillows add texture and elegant coziness while the black bordered pillows add an impactful graphic element.
Erika previously had these on a queen size bed which also worked well because the three larger pillows spanned the full width of the bed. If you'd like the three pillows in the back to take up the full width of a king bed, I'd recommend getting size 26x26 and then doing the front lumbars in size 14x22.

When you surround yourself with things that you love and feel like you, it's a form of self care.
Tonya Leigh, host of one of my favorite podcasts, said it beautifully:
Notice how you currently feel in your space.
How is it affecting your energy?
Your mood?
Your self-image?
Your self-worth?
By taking a moment to become aware of these effects, you can empower yourself to shape your daily experience. You can decide on purpose that you want to see yourself as a person who is deserving of beauty, who cares about her surroundings, and really cherishes quality things.
You can choose to make simple yet powerful changes, like bringing in fresh flowers into your home every week, or something bigger like completely redecorating.
Whatever you do, I hope you take pleasure in engaging in the beautiful practice of creating an atmosphere of your own design that supports your well-being.

]]>If you look closely, you'll see that the pillow has several colors that can be pulled out, including blue, teal, red-orange, and green.
For a cohesive look, it's ideal to use the "Rule of 3" and repeat each color in a palette three times or more within a room. Sita did exactly this. Let's break it down:
She repeated the blue color with a deep blue accent wall, art, a Zig Zag Navy pillow, and blue rug.
The red-orange is repeated with a throw blanket draped over the sofa, a Rust Velvet pillow, and art.
The green shows up in the green spotted pillow, floral arrangement and greenery.
The teal color is repeated with a teal throw, teal geometric print pillow, and rug.
We could keep going with some of the other colors but you probably get the idea. I think you'd agree that the way everything ties together is so visually satisfying.
Hope this inspires your own decor!

The room is eclectic and bold, yet sophisticated. It brings together the things she loves and celebrates her maximalist sensibility.
By incorporating classic details and sticking to a mostly black and white palette, Veronica expertly layered various patterns and textures in a way that looks cohesive. These two photos show other parts of the room not shown in the magazine:

The master bath is even more stunning. I mean, look at that flooring...chandelier...wallpaper...so many beautiful details, perfectly executed.

Are peonies your favorite flower? 🙋🏻♀️ Mine too.
With their season being so short, below are 5 quick tips to enjoy every last peony bunch as long as possible.
2. Before placing into a vase, make sure to remove any leaves from the lower part of the stems so that they're not submerged in the water. This prevents them from rotting.
3. Keep them away from direct sunlight - I learned this the hard way. I made the mistake of leaving an arrangement right next to a window that received a lot of direct sun, and came back to find out they had drastically lost their color and some petals had started falling off.
4. Store them in the fridge at night - If you have the space, put them in your fridge. Doing so will prolong their life.
5. Trim the stems and replace the water every day or every other day - Cut the stems at a diagonal for maximum water absorption. Use cold water or drop an ice cube or two into the vase.
