Good Morning
Wouldn’t this be such a lovely space to get ready in?
I’m loving everything about this dressing room. The lighting fixtures, the upholstered bench, the drapery, the white glass front cabinets, the openness and spaciousness of it all. Beautiful.

DIY Closet
A creative way to house a wardrobe, this DIY cabana closet was made by repurposing a bakers rack and sewing a custom cover using inexpensive striped fabric. Looks pretty great don’t you think?
From Samantha and Lindsey’s bright beach cottage. See the rest of it here.

Luxury Closet
How great is this walk-in closet?
Loving how everything is so perfectly folded, hung and arranged by type and color. Definitely a thing of luxury to have that much space (and that many clothes and shoes!)

A Lovely Dressing Room
A light and bright dressing room with a lovely vanity complete with lighting, a mirror, fresh flowers, and a stylish chair atop a plush mini rug…

…and a closet nook with shoes organized in stacked drop-front boxes and sunglasses cleverly hung on the door…

Beautiful, wouldn’t you agree?

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week
This week’s beautifully organized space is this closet from the latest issue of Lucky magazine:

Shelf organizers help keep handbags tidy and contained. Labeled shelves help distinguish between piles of jeans. A corkboard provides a space to post outfit inspiration.

Sweaters are folded neatly by type in stacks no higher than 10 inches, with bulkiest pieces at the bottom of the pile to avoid an unstable top heavy formation.

Thin huggable hangers prevent garments from slipping and, unlike bulkier wooden hangers, don’t eat up valuable hanging space

A mounted wall rack concealed behind a lovely curtain takes advantage of a nook and holds shoes.

Drawer dividers help keep delicate lingerie organized and prevent any snags from tangled bra hooks.

Jewelry is kept untangled and organized in velvet jewelry trays.
Beautifully Organized Space of the Week
This week’s beautifully organized space of the week is this closet from the home of Erica Cook of Moth Design, which houses her daily staples:
White Ikea frames showcase bags from some of her favorite trips and create a fun little feature wall.
A round white tray keeps all her perfumes organized and at the ready.
Clear Ikea Rationell Variera “spice racks” serve as drawer separators and keep her belts and scarves organized.
*Unfortunately the clear “spice racks” are a discontinued product (at least to my knowledge). I bought several to organize a variety of things in my own home several months ago and absolutely loved them. When I tried to go back for more, they were no longer in stock and was told by an Ikea employee that they had been discontinued
Glass trays and other beautiful containers hold jewelry, watches and sunglasses. An Ikea pant rack keeps her jeans easily accessible and allows her to see exactly what she has.
So chic, wouldn’t you agree?

Closet Organization: Boots
During these cold weather months it’s nice to have boots easily accessible in the closet. A good way to keep them standing up straight and in an orderly line is to use boot inserts. Inserts help boots retain theirs shape and prevent them from flopping and toppling over into an unattractive pile.

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week
This week’s beautifully organized space is this closet from the home of fellow blogger Freckles Chic:

Isn’t it lovely? She created it by donating all the things she no longer wanted and were just cluttering up the space, and by designating a place for everything that remained. Total cost of the transformation was about $100 (for hangers, clips, shelves, storage containers, a hat stand, and headband holder). Proof that you don’t need a ton of space or money to create a beautiful closet!
For the before pictures and a breakdown of the items she used for the space, be sure to check out her blog!
